The Carolinas feel like home. I moved there to go to grad school, met my husband, and raised my family there. I have loved it ever since. This piece feels fresh and bright, like a new day.

There is a beautiful golden hour around sunrise and sunset. I prefer sunset after a busy day when all is lit from the sky. A reminder of the beauty around us and the fresh start we get each day.
To be with friends, with family, or near the water. I like the brushstrokes in this piece and the way the road takes you somewhere new to explore. But what I like best is that little palm tree to the left that veers off the canvas.
It reminds me of dear Friends—or three sisters or brothers—always there for each other, knowing you have each other.
