The Grand Bohemian Hotel - Charleston's Art Hotel

Looking for an artistic or creative vacation weekend? Champagne at check-in? Art gallery? Count me in!

As an art lover, don’t miss The Grand Bohemian Hotel's rotating art gallery right in this boutique hotel. Even if you aren’t staying at the Grand Bohemian Hotel, walk through the lobby for a spectacular collection of contemporary art.

Enjoy a frittata or avocado toast for breakfast in Maison Café, which is decorated in teal and red, which might have inspired me for my next art collection. The deep eggplant-colored napkins were also an unexpected color combo. (Yes, I notice those kinds of things.)

Grab a seat on the garden patio out in front of The Grand Bohemian Hotel. The wrought iron tables are a great spot to sketch, write, and people-watch while enjoying the Charleston weather.

The Grand Bohemian Hotel also features a lovely wine bar offering wines from around the world. It’s dark and cozy, with a big center table for socializing. They offer live music, art, and wine demonstrations. Or consider this: wine blending classes. It’s a hands-on experience where you blend your own bottle and create a custom label. How fun!

Eleve: The Grand Bohemian Hotel's Rooftop Bar and Restaurant

You know I don’t like to miss a rooftop bar, and the Eleve at the Grand Bohemian Hotel doesn’t disappoint. Eleve has a gorgeous rectangular bar set against the backdrop of windows with views of the city. However, I love the outdoor space, which has a living room feel, with a grassy floor and cozy, contemporary decor.

Enjoy their handcrafted cocktails and coastal cuisine, accompanied by stunning views of the city. They use a lot of fresh herbs, and there is always a touch of the unexpected, which makes the food and the drinks interesting.

Try the tuna tartare, the watermelon flatbread, and the truffle fries. You can’t go wrong with their homemade pimento cheese served with Ritz crackers.
