Cocktails with a View: Pinky's On the Beach
Pinky’s On the Beach is a concept that is long overdue in Folly Beach. It’s fun, cheeky, and very Folly.
Pinky’s is inside the Tide’s Hotel and has views of the beach and the pier. The inside is decorated with pink walls, a few flamingos, a pink pool table, and pinball machines. It even has pink Cadillacs made into booths, which would be fun if you are dining with kids.
Be sure to check out the mural inside Pinky's on the Beach, which is hand-painted by Girls Who Paint Murals. They have done some fabulous work around the city, including schools, businesses, private homes, and rental properties. They’ve expanded to include clients nationwide.
I love the outdoor patio at Pinky's on the Beach, of course, because it has views of the ocean. It’s also painted with lots of pink, has a cute bar, pink umbrellas, and a couple of palm trees.
Pinky’s on the Beach has a creative drink menu, and I like that Pinky’s offers new specialty cocktails, such as the ‘Life of A Showgirl Spritz’ in honor of Taylor Swift’s latest album. Even better, the ‘Ta-Ta Rita’ supports the Medical University of South Carolina Hollings Cancer Center for patient and family support.
Happy Hour at Pinky's on the Beach is Monday through Thursday from 4 - 6, which is a little early, but typical for the area. It's also perfect when you are on vacation!
Pinky’s on the Beach has live music on the weekends with a changing lineup that includes a Sunday afternoon band, too.
Pinky's on the Beach also offers a selection of starters and pizzas, along with a few entrees, including a seafood stew and a fresh-market catch. We didn’t eat here because we were headed out, but the Yelp reviews look promising!
