Sullivan’s Fish Camp for Happy Hour!

Did you know that Sullivan’s Fish Camp rebranded as Sullivan’s Fresh Seafood and Bar, but now they are back to Sullivan's Fish Camp, which better suits its style? It's definitely not a fish camp, but the setting is comfortable, and the atmosphere is festive.

And more importantly, did you know that Sullivan’s Fish Camp has a $1 oyster and $5 martini happy hour every Wednesday? I love some oysters and martinis, so I had to check this out.

Start with a martini, extra dirty, blue cheese olives. It’s not a top-shelf martini, but what do you expect for five bucks?

Any good seafood dinner must begin with hush puppies. Sullivan’s Fish Camp's version is served with whipped honey butter and is made with jalapeno and gouda.

Try the taramasalata dip with the smoked roe and sourdough lavish. It’s smokey and delicious, although not a very big portion.

There are many places to get fried shrimp in the Charleston area, but I’m a big fan of Sullivan's Fish Camp's version. It’s lightly battered and fresh-tasting. Order a dozen $1 oysters and enjoy them with their mignonette or the cocktail sauce. Their cocktail sauce is one of the best I’ve eaten. And I’ve tried a few.

If you need some greens, try the Caesar salad, and you can’t go wrong with the rosemary fries. In my opinion, a martini, a Caesar, and French fries - the trifecta! And fried shrimp and $1 oysters are a bonus.

Now, if Sullivan's Fish Camp would just bring back the truffle fries!
