BEACH ACCESSES ON SULLIVAN'S ISLAND

BEACH ACCESSES ON SULLIVAN'S ISLAND TO CHECK OUT:

Want to know where to go to the beach on Sullivan’s Island?

I checked out many beach accesses on Sullivan's Island when I moved to Charleston. Tough job, but someone’s got to do it, and here are my beach access reviews:

STATION 16

I enjoyed the long wooded walk at this beach access on Sullivan's Island.

It’s so serene, but might be too long of a walk if you were bringing small children or a lot of equipment. I love a picnic and there is a boardwalk off the beach access path which is a perfect picnic spot!

Like most of Sullivan’s, there isn’t much parking, but the beach is nice and wide. From the beach, you have nice views of Fort Sumter and Charleston Harbor, which is beautiful.

SULLIVAN'S ISLAND STATION 28 1/2

You have to see the huge tide pool at the beach access on Sullivan's Island Station 28 ½.

It's right near the spaceship house, which is also a must-see. There's not much beach right now because the tide pool is so big, but overall, the beach is nice and wide. It's a short walk and a great place to bring your dog to run! There is one caveat - recently, an alligator was removed from the tide pool, but I'm sure it's fine now…

6.4, only because of the alligator.

SULLIVAN'S ISLAND STATION 32

You’ve got to see this beach access if you love the coast of the Pacific, which I do. It’s actually one of my favorite beach accesses in Sullivan's Island.

I’ve spent a little time in California over the years and love that craggy, magnificent coast.  This beach access reminds me of the Pacific coast because there is a rock inset, and you walk down a little hill to get to the protected beach, which is like a little cove.  It’s small and narrow and feels like a private beach.
There are pretty views of the Isle of Palms, too.

This beach access should be a secret because that’s how it feels. I love it, so I kind of hate sharing it, but how can I not?
