Isle of Palms Beach Access 3

Isle of Palms Beach Access 3

There aren’t many places to park near Isle of Palms Beach Access 3 because you can’t park on this stretch of Ocean Boulevard. However, a dirt area along 3rd Avenue provides a few parking spaces. You’ll enjoy a pleasant, relatively short walk to the beach. The path is lined with palm trees along one side and has a nice view of some gorgeous Isle of Palms homes. However, the vegetation could be better maintained, and there is a short little climb up at the end, most likely from beach nourishment.

The beach had just been replenished when I visited, making it somewhat uneven. It is not the most expansive beach area but a more isolated spot farther from downtown Isle of Palms. Also, there are no dunes here.

If you are looking for a beach access to enjoy some quiet time. Isle of Palms beach access 3 is suitable for someone who wants a peaceful place to read a good book, write, or draw. However, it wouldn’t be an ideal spot to set up for a full beach day.

Isle of Palms Beach Access 6

Like most beach accesses on the southwest side of Isle of Palms, Beach Beach Access has a limited number of parking spaces available on 6th Street, which fill up quickly.

The walk to the beach is pleasant, featuring a wide sandy path that makes it easy to carry all your beach essentials for the day. It's a short stroll and offers fantastic open views of the Isle of Palms dunes and the many beautiful oceanfront homes along the way.

Once you reach the beach, there is ample space for lounging, provided the tide isn't too high.
Overall, Isle of Palms Beach Access 6 is a good option. While it may not have any standout features, it effectively gets you to the beach!

Isle of Palms Beach Access 14

Isle of Palms Beach Access 14

Isle of Palms Beach Access 14 is located at the end of Ocean Boulevard, right next to the Isle of Palms County Park. It’s also conveniently located in downtown Isle of Palms. Still, it’s one of the least scenic and most closed-off accesses I’ve seen. The advantage of this beach access is that it’s conveniently located near downtown Isle of Palms, offering public parking, restrooms, and showers.

The length of the walk isn’t bad, but half of the experience involves tightrope walking between the park fence on one side and the chain-link fence on the other. It appears that it is only intended for use when the neighboring park gates are closed at the end of the day, as you must squeeze between two fences to reach the beach. Once you get past the section with the fence, the path does open up, and it’s a pleasant walk.

However, Beach Access 14 is right next to the Isle of Palms pier, so this stretch of beach will be the most crowded on a busy summer day. I’m sure it’s a fun spot if you enjoy being in the middle of all the activities, but it’s probably not for me.

I don’t say this very often when it comes to going to the beach, but Isle of Palms Beach Access 14 is one of the few beach accesses you can avoid. Especially if you aren’t crazy about crowds.

You can skip this beach access if it’s been raining at all!

I enjoyed a fun little adventure on Isle of Palms Beach Access 25 because it was after a big rainstorm, and the path and surrounding area were swampy. There was a huge puddle on the path, so I had to walk across a beam to get over it. I would only return if I knew it would be dry.

There isn’t much parking at Isle of Palms Beach Access 25. Also, you wouldn’t want to carry too much stuff to get there because it’s a long walk to the beach. It’s perfect for a walk if you just want to get out and put your toes in the sand without being loaded down with lots of supplies.

Fortunately, there is a nice boardwalk and a pretty shaded walk to the beach. Once you get there, the beach is wide open and beautiful.

Isle of Palms Beach Access 25 is a fun spot to visit with friends because it has a nice wide path and a spacious beach. Don’t bring too much stuff, and make sure it hasn’t rained recently!

Isle of Palms Beach Access 28

If you don’t mind a little climb, Isle of Palms Beach access number 28 is a good place to access the beach on the Isle of Palms. It’s narrow and looks like a cut-through between a couple of beach houses. However, it opens up to a lovely, wide space where you can see in both directions. It’s a pretty path, a little shady, and not too long.

You have to go up a small hill as you get closer to the beach, but it’s not too difficult, even with a load of beach supplies. You’ll find a lovely, wide, beautiful beach when you hit the sand. It’s clean and open, and you can see the pier in the distance.

Isle of Palms Beach Access 42

Isle of Palms Beach Access 42 is accessible to anyone with mobility problems because there is handicapped parking and a wide path with a mat for easy access past the dunes. The walk is a little long, but the beach is wide and beautiful, away from the central activity of the bars and restaurants.

The beach here is wide open with the potential for a summer crowd. This could be good for a quieter beach day destination as it is far enough from Wild Dunes Resort and the main strip of Palm Boulevard. This is an excellent access overall as it has a good balance of location, beach area, and a smooth walk. It’s a little off the beaten path, so it should be a more relaxing place for a beach day during the more crowded, warmer times of the year.

Isle of Palms Beach Access 49

You can skip Isle of Palms Beach Access 49 if you don’t like a long walk without a boardwalk. However, if you don’t mind walking, it’s not a bad spot!

There is no parking at this Isle of Palms beach access, but if you can figure that part out, the beach is beautiful and expansive in a more rugged way.

Isle of Palms Beach Access 49

The path on Isle of Palms Beach Access 49 is slightly windy, which makes it pretty.
It is narrow compared to other beach accesses on the Isle of Palms. However, it is flat with little greenery around it, so as you walk towards the beach, you will see open views of the water and off in the distance on both sides.

This Isle of Palms beach access may not be suitable for everyone due to the long walk, but I liked it because it's so picturesque.
