Enjoy an afternoon view at Daniel Island Waterfront Park

Head to Daniel Island Waterfront Park if you want to take a nice walk along the water and enjoy some quiet time or maybe even fish at the pier.
Or, if your kids are bored, bring them to the playground at Daniel Island Waterfront Park. If it’s hot outside, there’s a splash park for the little ones to play in. It features numerous benches for seating and is situated opposite the water, offering expansive views of the Wando River.

Daniel Island Waterfront Park contains miles of trails that wind through the marsh and along the Wando River. I enjoy walking, but you can also ride your bike there. Or stand on the dock and watch the barges go by.

Daniel Island Waterfront Park

I love a ferry ride on the Daniel Island Ferry. It shuttles from the dock at Daniel Island Waterfront Park to Charleston and back. They also offer a harbor cruise in the afternoon and one at sunset.

I've done both and especially enjoyed the Christmas cruise. They provided blankets and sold hot beverages on board. Or on a hot day, it's a nice way to be on the water while enjoying a cold drink from their bar area. It's also a super-easy way to get to an event at the Credit One Stadium, so keep that in mind.

Daniel Island Waterfront Park Swing

Sit on one of the swings along the water. You’ll see views of the water and the boats on the Wando River.

Whether you are walking, riding a bike, or just sitting on a park bench, Daniel Island Waterfront Park is a serene spot to spend time in nature.
