The Decantery in Amelia Island Florida

The Decantery is Elegant & Cozy

Looking for a sophisticated cocktail lounge right in Fernandina Beach?
The Decantery is owned by the same people as the Palace Saloon but has an entirely different vibe. It has an old Hollywood feel, featuring velvet couches, beautiful antique wall mirrors, a retail wine store, and wine dispensing machines that offer wine by the ounce - a fun way to try a new wine! They also do events such as a ‘Tuesday Tasting’ of specific types of wine or wine and cheese pairings. Or how about wines paired with Girl Scout cookies? Isn’t that fun?

But our favorite feature of this cocktail bar is Champagne Wednesday, when The Decantery offers Veuve and three other champagne choices by the glass.

The Decantery also offers a nice selection of craft cocktails. If you like bourbon, the smoky old-fashioned is a production since it is smoked at the table. We also tried the lavender kiss, which was served in a delicate coupe, making it a fun drink to enjoy. It’s purple but not too sweet. We hear the espresso martinis are fabulous, too.

The Decantery has a limited food menu but offers a well-curated charcuterie board and a few other appetizers. Or skip the appetizers and enjoy one of their decadent desserts. We love the layered cakes displayed in cake stands at the entrance. They look like works of art! The red velvet cake is a favorite, but we would recommend the warm butter cake, served with ice cream. Or just have one of their seasonal dessert cocktails.
